If so, opportunities for professional and personal fulfillment in a dynamic, progressive organization await you at Capital One!As a Senior Accountant Associate in Card Partnership Accounting, you will have dynamic responsibilities associated with interactions with multiple areas associated with the Partner Credit Card Business, Capital One's month-end closing, and participate in projects for our growth oriented organization. We are looking for a collaborative candidate with excellent written and verbal communication and sharp problem solving skills.You will assist in the compilation of reports and analysis to support management review of financial results for the Partnership segment. The role includes model creation/maintenance to financially settle with partners and to analyze monthly partner results, as well as identify issues and collaborate on recommended solutions.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly financial performance analysis related to monthly portfolio results and interface with Business partners for additional insight on performance trends
  • Understand contractual arrangements with partner relationships and administer the financial compensation settlement including creation of the settlement statement, arrangements for partner payment, and monthly presentation to Business partners partner as required
  • Perform monthly close responsibilities, particularly associated with the partner relationships
  • Ensure accounting practices and documentation procedures are performed in accordance with accounting and governance policies and procedures
  • Identify and deliver process improvements
  • Prepare and submit assigned account reconciliations
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as they arise
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 1 year of accounting or finance or audit experience or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience in banking or insurance industry
  • 1+ years of experience in PeopleSoft General Ledger, Hyperion Essbase, Excel or MS Office or a combination

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $96,254 - $113,558 for Sr. Associate, Accounting

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
