The Enterprise Engineer & Analyst is responsible for implementing processes, technologies, and applications that increase sustainability and prepare for future strategic planning. This individual ensures that the respective business partners and project management teams for the application, data, and technology perspectives are implemented in line with First American Bank's technology and governance strategies, policies, security practices, and standards. In addition, this position is responsible to determine methodology to reconcile Firewall changes to minimize risk and improve coverage of security tools.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Oversee implementation of IT infrastructure system security and processes.
  • Participate in business Architecture Reviews as a technical contributor by developing configurations to meet technical requirements.
  • Implement business architecture models that reflect First American Banks's strategies and goals.
  • Implement standardized processes and documentation from Architect Reviews.
  • Implement functional requirements and specifications and drive the customization of new and existing application architecture.
  • Implement designed strategies to improve coverage of existing security tools.
  • Design and direct Firewall changes to minimize the risk of changes prior to changes being implemented.
  • Determine methodology and steps to reconcile Firewall Changes.
  • Assist with enhancing configurations and deploying Microsoft Azure and M365 technologies.
  • Assist with the life cycle management strategy and task definition around obsolete hardware and software.
  • Assist with maintaining First American Banks's computer network from an architecture and documentation perspective.
  • Evaluate proposed technology solutions to ensure they are consistent with the enterprise security, architecture, and project management strategy.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and direction that considers broadening the current strategy or limiting it with the current strategy.
  • Provide business architecture and business systems processing guidance.
  • Recommend IT department process improvement recommendations to further the execution of tasks and processes more efficiently.
  • Combine a deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes, and architectural patterns to drive business and IT initiatives to meet enterprise objectives.
  • Collaborate with members of the IT division to create and document standards and practices that can be leveraged through re-use.
  • Troubleshoot network, Windows, and Windows-based application software.
  • Participate in the identification and updating of corporate IT standards and procedures.
  • Serve as the Security Incident Management Response team member to identify, track, and mitigate security incidents by adoption/execution of the Security Incident Response plan. This will include but not be limited to Phishing attempts, Malware outbreaks, and unauthorized access attempts
  • Design and implement all First American Data Services (FADS) security/audit initiatives for items assigned to FADS and continue the development of plans and effective strategies to meet requirements.
  • Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications desirable.
  • Minimum of ten years of work experience within Information Systems required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with vulnerability scanning tools, patching/remediation strategy and execution required.
  • Minimum of four years of experience with Systems Design and Implementation abilities required.
  • Computer networking knowledge and experience in computer network architecture and implementation including network operating systems, network design, and directory services.
  • Network infrastructure knowledge and experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure technologies and implementation strategies required.
  • Windows based application support and Banking or Financial Services experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of multiple office LAN/WAN interconnectivity, strongly preferred.
  • Ability to relay technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to write technical documentation required.
  • Must be professional, comfortable speaking with external and internal contacts with a demonstrated ability to tailor the message appropriately to the audience and situation effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas effectively and succinctly via written formats, including emails, letters, and electronic platforms. Maintain professional standards relating to spelling and grammar.
  • Maintain credibility through professional demeanor, appearance, and presence by modeling standards appropriate to our environment and industry.
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, adopting a constructive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Use sound professional judgment to balance the interests of the organization and customer, understanding and using available resources to mitigate risks.
  • Application Database design and implementation skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to write scripts to automate processes.
  • Product evaluation and practical use experience.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and applications, including Microsoft Azure, M365, and Windows experience.
  • A basic understanding of Citrix Environments.
  • Ability to install software applications and upgrades.
  • Proficient in the following: MS Windows OS, Network vendor solutions (Juniper, Cisco, Aruba), Network Management, Firewalls, Servers, Router/Switching, and TCP/IP Schema.
  • Some exposure to Linux OS a plus.
  • Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions, and training facilities may be required.
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need. Rotational Saturday work and off-hours on-call availability.
  • Punctuality is required to maintain First American Bank's customer service standards.
