JOB TITLE:

Director, Law School Career Services

JOB PURPOSE:

Manage the career services department and process for the College of Law, assisting with development of job prospects and recruiting for the program

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

All aspects of career services and placement for the College of Law, including but not limited to:

  • managing the College's professional development and career services activities
  • counseling students related to career services and professional development
  • building and nurturing relationships with a wide range of current and prospective employers
  • cultivating and developing new placement opportunities; providing education and information to students on diverse topics related to career development
  • implementing and maintaining effective data collection
  • analysis and reporting mechanisms to enable the College to gauge its Career Services effectiveness
  • assisting the College with its reporting obligations
  • assisting in the College's marketing efforts related to the College and Career Services
  • working collaboratively with other offices and personnel at the College of Law and the University. The foregoing is intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed; but it is not exhaustive of all associated responsibilities.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors degree in related field

Other: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the .

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred
  • 5 years of experience working in a professional legal setting or career counseling environment
  • Career counseling experience and/or paralegal experience
