JOB TITLE:

PT Office/Lab Assistant, COIFPM

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform basic, entry-level, routine clerical duties for the Center of Innovation for Flow through Porous Media (COIFPM) on a part-time basis. This position will report directly to the Lab Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data entry for updating inventory records.
  • Assisting with inventory organization and asset management.
  • Research topics related to inventory and asset management.
  • Perform basic records maintenance.
  • May sort mail, assist with bulk mailing projects; sort, deliver or pick up printed matter for distribution.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in training and other professional development activity.
  • Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement to meet personal and organizational goals and objectives.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: None

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: None

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Able to handle highly confidential materials and information
  • UW Safety Training or ability to complete at time of hire
