JOB TITLE:

Data Research Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The Office of Institutional Analysis at the University of Wyoming has an immediate opening for a motivated and enthusiastic data research analyst. Our office works with a wide range of institutional data to provide reports to both external and internal audiences. We are seeking candidates who are interested in working towards automating feedback reports to high schools and community colleges about the success of their students. Further, as UW participates in the Wyoming Statewide Educational Longitudinal Database (SLEDS), this analyst may assist with extracting, validating, and research information provided to SLEDS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop programing to automate reporting processes

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position is eligible for remote work and/or a flexible work schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience:SQL-Based programming and/or other programming experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Someone who is excited to learn and easy to work with
  • Knowledge of higher education
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and advanced functions
  • Experience using databases to manipulate data, Microsoft Access knowledge is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Knowledge of Perl, R, and/or Python
  • Experience using data visualizations
