About the RoleIf you are a seasoned subcontracts management professional looking to make an impact in a rewarding industry, join our team!

As a Subcontracts Management Specialist III, you'll develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for our subcontract systems to guide the development, production, and global sustainment for multiple contract types. You'll be responsible for preparing our bid packages, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing and evaluating our proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending new subcontractors, and administering our subcontracts.

Additionally, you'll administer standard subcontracts agreements, such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M), and Cost Reimbursable (CR) Fixed-Fee, through the entire contract lifecycle, and will participate and lead moderate negotiations of terms, price, and schedule, and will monitor subcontractor performance.

Must-haves:

  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically six (6) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may substitute for relevant experience.

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in Procurement or Subcontracts Administrative roles, experience in leading Subcontracts and leading or member of Subcontract Management Teams

  • Ability to lead projects & teams to execute Supply Chain subcontracts and sourcing activities in an executing capacity.

  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures associated with FAR / DFAR requirements and TINA.

  • Strong organization and communication skills are required.

  • Working knowledge of various contracting types (Firm Fixed, Price, Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, Award Fee, T&M, etc.)

  • Experience with SAP based procurement system.

  • Experience managing supplier relationships and cross functional teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated communication, negotiation, presentation and documentation skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with International Subcontracting.

  • Understanding of EVMS and related skills.

  • Firm understanding of Import / Export Regulations and transactional processing.

  • Ability to interact with senior management, suppliers and other external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between functional organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work and succeed in a fast pace, priority driven program.

  • Experience with proposals that require cost and pricing data and commercial item determination and reviews.

  • Ability to evaluate and recommend process improvements

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
  • Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs


Working Conditions:

  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Rarely exposed to loud noises

Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:$79,264.96 - $108,989.33
