Director of Pharmacy

An innovative and nationally acclaimed hospital. Established in 1867 Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC), a nonprofit, county hospital, is one of the oldest hospitals in the western United States. It has distinguished itself throughout its history by the high quality and innovative healthcare it has provided. CRMC was featured on the Discovery Channel as the first hospital in the nation to use the Stealth Treon neurosurgical navigation system. The hospital was also recognized by Money Magazine as one of the Top 25 Best Hospitals in the nation for heart valve replacement surgery. The hospital Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services.
The centralized Pharmacy is open 24/7 and its 30 employees work day, evening, and night shifts. The Pharmacy has recent automation and technology upgrades. The Director and other pharmacy leaders are CPS employees. The remaining pharmacy staff are employees of the hospital.
Scope of responsibility. The Director oversees all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. The Director recommends innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carries out mutually agreed upon programs.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) - Current WY license in good standing - Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting - Within the last 5 years, hospital pharmacy management experience in a hospital with 100+ beds
